Here are the two layouts I did with my kit from Swirlydoo’s this month.  I was lucky enough to go to Venice, one of my long filled dreams.

Good Bye~Jules

My girlfriend gave me permission to use one of the layouts I did for her over the weekend of her white German Shepherd.  I didn’t know that they came in white as well as all black.  He was such a sweetheart and we will miss him.

This little girl Candace is 5 years old and very soon will not be with us.  Sometimes, life is so unfair.  It was a sad start to the night but, I was honored that Diana let me do them.

I also, got 12 pages done for a friend of mine who just lost her white German Shepherd.  I didn’t ask her if I could share them on my blog so, I can’t share them with you.

I did get 2 layouts done for my Swirlydoo’s kit which I will share with you later this week.

Let’s Get Shabby~Challenge #7

Getting back in the swing of things. Let’s Get Shabby Challenge beach theme with this:

Here is my layout inspired by this using a beach ball:

IMG_4305

I used Anna Griffin papers, distress ink, seashells, Quickutz Exclusive die. Here is a closer look.

IMG_4306

I have to tell you a little story about the Quickutz Exclusive die. I teach for Scrappers Cove and when they decided to come up with their first exclusive die, they took suggestions from everyone and I came up with the lighthouse and the design. They submitted it to Quickutz and this was their very first exclusive die. I was so excited they picked mine and they gave me the die as a thank you.

At one of Scrappers Cove Quickutz club party, they asked each member to take a die and change it in something other than it’s original form. So, I took my Lighthouse:

I took all these pieces that make up the lighthouse and I made this from all the pieces:

IMG_4302

The only piece that is not from the die is the head that I used a circle punch. Pretty cool isn’t it? Every piece is used and in it’s original form. I also, made this from the die:

I had to shape this a little, but I love the look.

Thanks for looking!

Sad To See Them Go

I finally took down my sea tree today.  I’m sure most of you are happy to see the holidays end.  I keep my tree up as long as possible but yes, it’s another season over. :o(

I took pictures of all my ornaments and will be going to a crop at the end of the month.  I hopefully, will make a mini book of them.  I am always glad when putting them away that they get packed away safely and protected for next year.  My biggest fear is that my tree will fall over and they will ALL break and I wouldn’t have any memory of them.  So, if it ever happens I have at least captured what each tree and ornament look like.  LOL

I’ll have to wait until I get back to take my upside down!

Off to Boston to bring Gabby back to college.  Have a great week and thanks for looking!

Sneak Peek~Vintage Valentine Fabric Fat book

Can you believe I went to a flea market this past week! It's was freezing and I can't believe they still go out there in the winter! LOL I went to the Golden Nugget in PA and found this gorgeous venetian glass heart and vintage bird charm. I was so excited to aquire these for a swap I'm in over at the Gypsy Mermaid hosted by Sarah.

I can't show you the finished pages but will share with you some of the great fabric and trims I'm using. I have to send a big "Thank You" to Jodie for the great vintage images and advice!

Be sure to check out her sneek peek at her blog "Everything Vintage". Can't wait to share with you the finished product. Have a great week!
