I hope you all enjoyed Scrapadabadoo’s fist live Ustream and creating the Steampunk Doll Album. Here is what you will need to create this project:
Thick wood photo frame 5 x 7, Prima collection Travel in Time, flowers, Say It in Crystals, Wood Embellishments, Junkyard Findings; ceiling light bulbs and street signs. Travel in Time tags, and chipboard pieces. I also, used Prima’s new metal die doilies.
You can remove the waterfall to reveal a 4 x 6 mat:
I think these would make a great gift and can be done in 4 – 5 hours. Here are the following steps to create this project:
Remove glass and save cardboard pieces.
Cut a 5 x 7 piece of pattern paper to cover the one side of cardboard.
Take a piece of chipboard and cut down to 5 x 7 and cut a slit 1/2 inch in from each side and about 3/4 inch down as shown.
Take your pattern paper and add 1/2 inch tape all around and liquid glue in the middle adhere it down and cut out the slit.
Use the perfect trim ruler to miter your corners.
Tuck in the little piece at the corner for neat edges.
Add foam tape after adding paper! Here I had to take off the foam tape because I did not cover it with paper first…lol
Here you can see I covered the insides as well.
This is how it should looked covered. Now I used Kraftex to create the waterfall, cut a piece 5 x 7 and scor at the 2”:
It will slide in the slit and then pick 5 different patter papers and cut to 4 3/4 x 4:
Scor each piece at the top 1/2 inches in:
Flip over and add 3/8 inch tape to the outside of the fold as shown.
Start after the 2” scor mark and start to add the 4 3/4 x 4 mats, place the first one as shown and then place the other under the first one butt up to the 1/2 line. (forgot to take a photo of that).
You should now have all your pages in and ready for embellishment. This is basically it, now just decorated to your hearts contents.
Here is how I embellish mine:
I added the flowers, leaves and the hose from the junkyard finds to create the flourishes.
Added the light bulbs from the junkyard findings too.
Here you can see I added one of the 4 x 6 cards as well as the say it in crystals.
And there you have it your bonus project. I made this very interactive as none of the mats are glued down so you can add photos to both sides of the mat if you choose as well, as under the mat. Also, the tags with the string pull out so you can make these pockets if you like. Don’t forget you have until Sunday night 12:00 pm midnight to receive the PDF file for the train and Corset. Just email me at scrapstobeauty@aol.com
Again, thanks to you all for joining me, Barrie and Carol from Scrapadabadoo as well as the other fabulous design team to make this a fun and creative day.
I’m really lucky to be given this opportunity to become part of a great crafting community and just wanted to say a special thanks to Barrie and Carol for all the hard work to make this day happen. I also, like to thank Prima for their fabulous collection Travel in Time to be able to create these gorgeous projects for you all.
