SIZZLING SUMMER BLOG HOP~

If you here for the first time you need to start at the beginning with Scrapadabadoo's blog.   You should be coming from Jani’s blog:  http://papercompulsions.blogspot.com/
Hi and welcome to my post for the Prima Bikes.  So, great what everyone has done with their Prima bikes so far.  I live by the beach and wanted to make mine with a beach theme using Graphic 45’s collection By The Sea.  I saw the bike and the first thing that popped into my mine was a porthole...lol  If you know me I like to think outside the box.   Here is my take on my bike:

My bike hang’s on the side of my cabinet in our family room.  I’ll take you step by step on how I created my seashore bike.

Here you can see I edge the platform with the by the strip and added twine on both sides of the border.  I then cut a piece of acetate to go inside the wheel leaving one piece of the protective plastic on the acetate to make it appear like water.  Then more fussy cutting to create the waves inside.

Here I took Vintaj paints to color the silver bike and also, added Prima  Vintage Trinkets brads to create the porthole, that is what I saw when looking at the bike to alter.  This reminds me of a ships porthole and compass.

Here I took half of a small Christmas ball ornament to create a bubble and added the fish made from a Graphic 45 metal butterfly, which you can see how I created that in this post.  I also added some pearls, seaweed and mica flakes.

Here I created a small crab mini to go inside the bike and of course it is in my favorite shape a heart:

This is the front and back covers and it has magnets in the claws to hold the album shut:

Next I cut the banner out with my town and added the stems for seaweed.

I added the bathing beauty to the top which I got last year.

Added some Prima and Petaloo flowers and some bling on the bubble.

And that is how I created my Seashore Bike and I really love how it turned out.
