Just a quick post with some photo of the start of our trip:
More photos tomorrow! Good night!
I created a mini to hold my ATC’s for the Stemapunk Soiree out of Kraftex as well, as the new Prima Butterflies die from Sizzix.
Have a great weekend! ~♥Hugz, Zandra♥
Join me tonight at 8:00pm EST on Ustream as we continue with the dog album and how to create a dog from hearts and mulberry paper:
Hope to see you there. ~♥Hugz, Zandra♥
Tonight I will share with you two more masks I created this weekend. We also, will be starting a dog album.
This is an album I created for our sweet Maltese, Yuki. I plan on making another for my roommate, Dawn who just got a new puppy, Hanna.
Here I will take you through the steps to create your own mask:
I was able to purchase these at the dollar store at Halloween and can’t believe they even came on a stick!
White gesso applied to the mask and then adhered some lace:
I added the Prima doily die and at the end it got all covered up…lol and added more white gesso.
Then I started adding flowers, bling, lace and got so involved that I forgot to take pictures after this…
So, these are the finished masks, as I did one in a light blue and the other in white, pink and black. I sprayed these with Lindy’s Gang sprays:
So, I hope you can join me tonight for the pet album at 8:00 pm EST on my Ustream channel. ~♥Hugz, Zandra♥
Just wanted to share with you the finished masks I did on my Ustream Class on Wed. July 2nd.
This is the finish mask with the gold tooth…lol
And if you miss the show I will share with you how I created the second mask using my octopus legs:
First I gesso the mask and added the zipper.
Then I added tissue paper from a sewing patter, cheese cloth and some dry wall tape.
Then started to fill the brain in…lol
Once I had everything I wanted on the mask I went over the whole mask with black gesso.
Looks so creepy all in black….eek!
Here you can see the difference from the black gesso and using the Prima Color Bloom Sprays.
Here you can see the Color Bloom Vintage Coal and I love how it has a green patina color.
And here you can see the different colors of the sprays: Vintage Coal, Precious Stone, Vintage Gold and Worn Leather.
The finished masks and I love how they came out. Did you notice the little mask hanging on the sides of the mask. I got them at the flea market and they are called “Passport Masks”,
Well, I hope you enjoyed my first mixed media masks. I hope you have a safe and joyful 4th of July!
