PM Artist Studio ~ Makers Creative Collab ~ Sea Me, Ya C

August 2023 Makers Creative Collab

I joined the Makers Creative Collab Hop Hosted by PM Artist Studio for the first time.  This month's prompt is Sea Me, Ya C.  You can watch on my youtube channel:  Scraps to Beauty by Zandra

I have the step by step to share my process of my journal pages:

This is the first layer, I used Bloopy Loops stencil wiith Jane Davenport mint green paint through it.

Next I laid down the stencil Aqueous Effervescence :

The stencil had gold paint on it so, when I appliesd blue paint it created a greenish color which I was find with.  You can see the close up in the corner of the second stencil applied.

Next I applied the dragonfly paint throurh the stencil Sea Dragons to give them a shinny irredescent look:

Then for the Ya C part of the prompt I choose the C for Crescent stencil which I copied onto the cardstock and used my Xacto knife to cut out in between the c's to place on the acetate to make the flip also, added lots of stickles on top:

Next was the Assortment of Seaweed.  I traced the stencil onto some beige cardstock then fussy cut out the seaweed and glued onto my pages.  Then added Finnabair's paint through the stencil to add more seaweed and give it some depth.  In my video you can see how I used this stencil several ways:

This is my final pages for Sea Me, Ya C.  Is she a Mermaid looking in?  Or is she trapped looking to get out?  Maybe she is behind a gate debating to enter?  Or is she putting up a guard so, you cannot truly see her until she gets to know you and then revails her all to you?

When yo do th flip up of the C of Crescent you can see her clearly and I added some neon yellow paint around her to give her a glow and stand out.

I hope you got a chance to visit the other Creatives in this hop which you can find the list in my Show more Description under my video.  Scrapstobeautybyzandra on Youtuibe.

I hope you found some inspiration from my take or on any of the other Creatives.  Be sure to check out the stencils from PM Artist Studio.

Thanks for stopping by and may the inspiration help you create something joyful.
