This is mine. She showed us how to use aluminum duct tape to form these gorgeous butterflies. She did hers with poka dots and I used the maya road butterfly debossed.
These are the inside pages which we learn how to do three different book making techniques.
We got to use Tattered Angels stencils and spray. Her tip on how to shake the bottles to get them to fully mix was great! What? You want me to share that tip??? Hmmm, maybe I'll tell you at the end of this post. LOL
Aren't these pages awesome! Afterwards, we got to stamp with staz on to add more dimension to the stencil.
The left side of the book has several pages that we hand sewn together. We also, made the metal charm with the duck tape.
This black and white ribbon is actually from France.
What? You still want to know about the tip? Keep reading.
This was our second class using this vintage bottle and glitter bird. This was Carol's front cover.
This was the one I made, I cut up a prima flower to make hearts. I added mica powder, some of the tinsel and 3 of the hearts inside the bottle, one for each of us: me, my husband and Gabby.
This is the inside of the book where we crinkled tissue paper to add to the big key and white wash it to give it a vintage look.
Here is where we used some German paper poinsettia flowers, Jenni Bowlin bingo card and she gave us each a page from an old book Polly's Business Venture, Polly Hunt in 'Jersey. It was perfect.
Some vintage ribbon from France and acrylic piece.
Some more white wash and beautiful brad.
Back cover using 7 gyspies papers. It was such a grand day, great teacher, friends and food!
SUMMERHOUSE~a vintage store that recently opened in the town next to me. Point Pleasant, NJ
Do you see the paper chain made out of an old dictionary. Well, it took 2 days to hang up. It looks fabulous and adds such charm to the store. If you love vintage, you have to make a trip here. There is so, much to look at, it's a great store.

Here is some jewelry that Kathe, the owner's daughter makes. Wouldn't you love to own one of these unique pieces! Such a conversation piece and beautiful to boot!
Carol's daughter, Ashley in the background checking everything out.
Love this so colorful! So much to look at, I do have to thank Geralyn for taking me to see this fabulous store and making it possible to share it with others.
Ok, you have been so patience! Carol's tip is not to shake the bottle up and down. The best thing is to shake it from side to side. It just mist so much better and to hold it like you where spraying hair spray. Hope you try it, it works fantastic! ;o)
I first met Carol this year at Creative Escape in Phoenix, where she is from. It was great to have a chance to see her again and spend some more time to get to know her some more. She is such a sweetheart! Thanks Carol for a fantastic weekened! ;o)
