Try It On Tuesday~Challenge “Winter Whites”

Today for Try It On Tuesday the challenge is “Winter Whites”.  I created this card:

I found this a little bit of a challenge using all white, but I like how it turned out.   I embossed the back and put it on glossy cardstock, added the doilies, seam binding, die cut the trees and some diamond stickles to complete the card.

“Frame It Mini” Simple Stories~The Story of Us

I wanted to share with you my “Frame It Mini” I did for my Uncle and Aunt for their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  We are having a surprise party for them and I made the cupcake liners and mini for them.  I used Simple Stories collection The Story of Us:

The mat on the left is my card and then a mat inside the pocket for photo and journaling.

More mats in the pocket above and another hidden pocket with the bird mat.

They are able to take the mini out and just place a photo in the center of the frame if they want.  I loved working with this collection and have plenty left over for another mini.  It is super fast and easy and I hope you give it a try.

Ustream Tonight~Sleigh Bells Ring Santa

Tonight we continue with our Count Down Christmas Tree project as we start the “Inside/Outside Mini”.  I wanted to share with you the what else you could do with the Tree:

Scrapadabadoo’s Christmas Card Kit

Scrapadabadoo’s Christmas Card Kit is now available here.  On their channel Scrapadabadoo Crafts  Ustream you can see how I made some of the cards from this kit.

The only thing NOT show is the 25 kraft envelopes that also, come with this kit.  I think you will be able to make well over 40 + cards from this kit.

Jani Lewis from Paper Compulsions also, has made some beautiful cards with this kit which she will be posting on her blog here.

Ustream tonight~Christmas Banner for Count Down Tree Kit

Tonight we start the Count Down Tree Kit available through Scrapadabadoo Crafts. 

We will be added extra embellishments to the banner and sharing how it all comes together. 

I also, have some sneak peaks of some of the ornaments we will be making for our tree.

COUNT DOWN TREE + Banner/Mini

Just wanted to share with you Home Décor Count Down Tree + Mini Kit now available at Scrapadabadoo.

I wanted to share with you what else you can turn the tree into:

Yes, it is a home décor piece for Halloween!  It also, comes with a hidden surprise:

I have a tea light in the back so, it lights up and the best part is that it all can come apart for easy storage.

 

This is only the sample of what the tree looks like and we will be using MME Sleigh Bells Ring.  It has the light bulb brads to add bottle cap ornaments 1-24 to count down the month.  Inside the tree stores the banner and under the tree will be the mini album.  On Ustream this week we will start the banner that fits inside the tree:

Here you see it all done and then you can use things from your stash to add more embellishments and dimension, as I have done here:

Arsenic & Lace Halloween Cards~by Zandra

Today, I bring you my Halloween Cards using my scraps from Echo Park’s collection Arsenic & Lace:

This is my first card, as I created this from the front sheet of the collection pack and is super easy and made for someone who you know will not keep the card…lol  I also, used twine, scotch quick dry which I keep in the fine line bottleshttp://www.scrapadabadoo.com/item_7146/Fine-Line-18-Gauge-Glue-Bottle.htm, black stickles and for the top of the pumpkin the wood grain paper.

I added a little more layers to this card:  I used the EK Success Zig Zag Chain punch, which I used intertwining the bottom border and the negative pieces for around the 3 x 4 Happy Halloween.  Black Diamond and Crystal stickles,  Prima 3 Scallop Doily Die, glossy accents and SS Frankie Enamel Dots.

Now this card is for someone you know is going to keep it…lol   I created this card with lots of texture and layers: 

First, I used some textured paste, on the acetate sheet I inked with white staz on, used gel medium and then crackle accents on top of that which takes overnight to dry.  Also, flowers, seam binding and Prima sprays. 

So, these were made from my scraps and I think they turned out so cute!  It is always hard for me to throw out any of my scraps.  It is always so fun to see what you can create from your scraps.

Arsenic & Lace Cauldron Mini~by Zandra

Today I share with you my Cauldron Mini album using Echo Park Arsenic & Lace collection.

I love this collection it has made a great Halloween album and if you would like to make this album I do sell the pdf file which you can purchase for $7.00 just email me at:  scrapstobeauty@aol.com.  Each page also, has a pocket for more added photos or journaling and I created the tree from paper towel and Lindy’s spray.  I also, used scor tape, black pop dots, black soot distress ink as well as plastic sheets.
