I shared what we will need in my Ustream show Sunday night. You can see the video on YouTube here.
So, I have created the pattern and if you would like to join me in creating these canvases you can email me: scrapstobeauty@aol.com and I will email you the pattern.
What you will need:
Two 9 x 12 canvas
12 x 12 chipboard
Favorite stencils
Favorite stencils
Black gesso
Soft gel medium
Heavy Gel Medium
Texture Paste
Art stones (sm, med & large)
Lace, cheesecloth
Die cuts
Finnabairs Mechanical Embellishment (i.e. buttons, charms, gems, brads etc)
Paints:
Metallic Silver & white
Metallic Viva Inka-gold in purple, green or orange
If you don't have these you can use texture paste and add micro bead, beads to create different thickness. We will use these through your stencil for the background and on the roof and house to create a faux stucco.
Soft matte gel is to glue down lace, die cuts anything light. You can use matte medium if you don't have this one. The Heavy body gel is to glue down your metals. These are heavy and if you don't have this you can use Fabri-tac or E6000 you need something strong so they won't fall off when hanging on your wall. I wouldn't use glue gun for this.
If you don't have these you need metallic paints silver, white for the moon and for the background I will be using purple, green and orange. You can use blue or whatever, color you want.
Martha has some metallic as well as American Crafts.
These are some examples of Finn's mechanicals. Here is where you want to go through your stash:
You'll need some different laces and if you don't have that you can use die cuts as well. Bottle caps, paper clips, buttons, brads any flowers that you don't like the color.
Here a few of my stencils I have pulled for my canvas.
Ok, I hope that's everything so, we will start this on Ustream on Sunday Aug. 6th 7:30 EST you can get there by clicking on the upper right hand corner of my blog. Hope to see you there and come and play. You could do this in your journal as well, if you don't want to do a canvas. ;o)
REMEMBER TO EMAIL ME: SCRAPSTOBEAUTY@AOL.COM to get the pattern.

How do you print out the pattern? Is there a link to it that I don't see. Or do we have to draw out the pattern ourselves?
ReplyDeleteThis really does look incredible! Hugs, Chrisx
