Hi, this is a class I did this past weekend totally inspired my Polly from Artful Wings. In one of the Let’s Get Shabby challenge’s Polly create a card with this cute bathing suit. I just loved it and had to make one for myself. Then, I took it one step further and created a mini album. Most of ladies in my class were to shy for the full butt cheeks showing…lol so they opted to cover the bottom.
This is the front and back cover. Out of 11 ladies in my class only 2 did not go for the full coverage. lol
I made the inside using a vintage black one piece bathing suit and each page is 6 x 5. Created a pocket to slide the ATC card’s. The next photo I made a pop up lighthouse using the Exclusive Quickutz Die the I designed for Scrappers Cove where I teach. These are pictures at the Asbury Park beach in 1965 and yes, that is me in the black bathing suit and my sister.
Close up of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, this is the nation’s oldest still standing and operating navigational aid. Since the lighthouse was located in NJ but owned by NY the two states argued over control. The US government put an end to the conflict in 1790 by making the Sandy Hook station and other lighthouse’s a federal responsibility.
Yes, this is me posing. lol The right side flips open.
Isn’t the Jolee’s crab so cute! Here I made a pocket to hold the bingo cards.
Thanks, Polly for the great inspiration! Be sure to visit her at Artful Wings for more of her amazing work. Have a great week. Hugz, Z
