Try It On Tuesday~Challenge Add A Quote

This week on Try It On Tuesday the challenge is add a quote.  I love steampunk and using Prima doll stamp.  I used Artist Cellar stencil for the background and memory box die for the gears.

KRAFTEX JOURNAL

I wanted to share my Kraftex Journal with pages from the black Dylusions 8 x 8 Journal.  I embossed each part and zig zag stitch to the cover.  I used Viva & Deco art to color the cover and then splatted with FW ink.

I added the pages with washi tape and hand drew the octopus and use the straw technique to do the seaweed.  

I colored the octopus with paint and then went over it with prisma color pencils.  I just love how the seaweed turned out.

Try It On Tuesday~Challenge Nature

This week the challenge over at Try It On Tuesday is Nature.  This page in my journal book was perfect as it already had the bees on it.  I drew the daisies and the pink fairy, used art foamies for the big bee she is flying on and the other fairy was a stencil given to me my Kerri and I used some marblizing paper gifted to me by my friend Jane for the wings and hair.

TRY IT ON TUESDAY~A FINE ROMANCE CHALLENGE

This week on Try It On Tuesday the challenge is A Fine Romance.  For the challenge I created this card and no..lol I did not do the quilling.  I used Basic Grey and Prima papers for this card:

BASIC PAGES TO GO INTO A MINI ALBUM

In the previous post I shared how to create a basic chipboard mini album.  Now I will list 10 things to help you complete the inside pages.  You can watch the video here to see how I came up with these.  

Ten basic pages:

1.  MATS:  you have your photo 6 x 4 so your mat could be 6 1/4 x 4 1/4

You could cut that in half and have two mats on your page:  3 x 4 1/4

You could have them side by side or touching/overlapping

2.  POCKETS:  left/right vertical pocket, bottom or corner

You can punch a border on these or add ribbon

3.  WATERFALL:  this also, can be vertical or horizontal

4.  FLIPS;  up/down/sideways and file folders would be great, too

5.  ACCORDIAN:  you can score however long you would like to have it

 and it can flip in 4 different directions.

6.  ENVELOPES;  can be used for pockets, as well as accordian pull outs

7.  TAGS:  great for interactive pages

8.  TIP IN AND OUT:  this is where you add to the page.  Check video for sample.

9.  BELLY BAN:  can be used in center or right/left of page.

10.  EMBELLISHMENTS:  make the pages your own.

Tonight on Ustream I will be sharing how to create a mini album from chipboard.  

Here is the basic mini we will be creating:

This is what you will need:

2 pcs 6 x 7 1/4           1 pc 2" x  6            6 pcs 5 3/4 x 7

Connector/hinges:

2 pcs 1 5/8 x 6  You will score each side at 3/4 which will leave you with 1/8 middle

2 pcs 1 5/8 x 5 3/4 these will attach to the front and back cover score at 1/2 each side give you 1/8 middle

6 pcs 1 1/4 x 5 3/4 these will attach the chipboard pages again score at 1/2 each side give you 1/4 middle

Place score tape on only one side

Hello 2016

Sorry, it's been awhile since I've posted.  I am having trouble with blogger and posting my ususal way.  Trying to work on it over the weekend.  I want to share my CHA 2016 photos as well as Prima Art Venture.  Wish me luck!
